​​Our tuition service is based in Sunderland, UK. We carry out assessments across the North-East. 

 

Our tutors are experienced classroom teachers with additional qualifications which ensure that they can provide structured, tailored support for your child.

Our tutors hold an APC, a qualification which guarantees that they are up-to-date with the latest research and assessment practice for dyslexia. Tutors also hold an enhanced DBS Certificate. 

 

Abigail 

AMBDA* - MA (Education) - PGCE Primary - BSc (Hons) Mathematics (1st Class)

Abigail is an experienced primary school teacher who discovered a passion for supporting children with specific learning difficulties; this led to her setting up The Dyslexic Penguin in 2019 to work closely with students with dyslexia and dyscalculia.

David 

AMBDA* - PGC (Specific Learning Difficulties) -  ​PGCE Primary - BA (Hons)

​

David is a qualified primary school teacher, specialist teacher and a former SENDCo with many years of successful classroom teaching experience. He was also previously an Assistant Professor (teaching) at a Russell Group University's Department of Education before returning to working with children in recent years.
